A Terracotta Workshop was conducted at the NCA campus on the 8th and 9th February 2016 (Monday & Tuesday).
The resource expert was Shri. Gopan, an experienced practitioner of the art from Integrated Rural Technology Centre (IRTC), Mundur, Palakkad.
He explained the characteristics of Clay, the various processes involved, and the types of products which could be made with it.
The first year students were engrossed in creating terracotta objects over these two days, some of which have been used for installations in our campus. A permanent Kiln was also set up in the Construction Yard, in which the products created by the NCA students were baked.
