NCA has good lecture hall for all the year students separately with the projector, white board and green board facilities so that our lecturers and professors can use all medium to teach the students.

Computer Centre

With the advent of computer-aided design and drafting, knowledge of CAD has become an essential part of an architect’s skill set.

The Computer Centre at NCA is equipped with 64 workstations, a printer and a scanner. This lab is used for two purposes – as a CAD Centre and as a Language Lab.

Construction Workshop

As part of the Construction Workshop, a session on brick bonding was organized at the NCA Construction Yard.

Material Museum

The museum has variety of building materials displayed separately according the semesters lessons and also new materials that is been introduced in the market.

The model making workshop is done in the material museum and art court depending upon the type of studio or model.

Nehru Consultancy Cell has been formed under the Chief Patronage of Adv.Dr.P.Krishnadas Chairman & Managing Trustee in Nehru College of Architecture, Jawahar Gardens, Lakkidi, Palakkad District, Kerala adhering to the broad guidelines stipulated by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

Resource Centre

The NCA Resource Centre provides students with a varied range of facilities for documentation purposes.

Students have access to a Canon SLR EOS60D which is regularly used for documentation of all NCA activities. The Resource Centre possesses a Desktop with a printer and an A3 Scanner. A 2 TB portable Hard Disk is used for storage.

• Our college has separate Design studio for all the year students separately.
• Each studio has sufficient drawing boards and stools/chairs.
• The studios also has no of pinup boards so that our students can display their works then and there during the studio hours.
• Students are allowed to use the studios whenever necessary.

Surveying Lab

The Surveying Lab at NCA provides students with the requisite exposure to surveying and leveling. It has an extensive array of equipment like Dumpy Level, Ranging Rods, Cross Staff, Arrows, Measuring Tapes, Chains, Prismatic Compass, Vernier Transit Theodolite, Plane Table, Trough Compass, Levelling Staff, Spirit Level, Mechanical Planimeter, Clinometer, Hand Level, Ghat Tracer, Box Sextant, Survey Compass, and Totalstation.

transportation

The college provides transportation facility for both students and staff. There are 20 buses which take care of commutation of about six hundred students from various locations. There is one exclusive Van for senior staff.

Model-making Workshop

The Model-making workshop at NCA is an intrinsic part of the Design Studio. It fosters in students the urge to create three dimensional models of their architectural projects employing a variety of materials like mount boards, foam boards, thermocol, wood, and other malleable materials like soap and clay.
