S1 - S2 SITE VISIT ON MUD CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES

First Year B.Arch students (40 students) from Nehru College of Architecture, Lakkidi, visited sustainable construction projects at Kootanad and Pallippuram, Pattambi on 5th March 2026 as part of their Building Materials and Construction course. The visit, facilitated by Ar. Guruprasad Rane and Ar. Manasi Puliyappatta, provided practical exposure to eco-friendly construction techniques such as Compressed Stabilized Earth Blocks (CSEB) and rammed earth construction. Students observed construction methods, material properties, and design considerations while also interacting with the architects to understand the importance of sustainable and environmentally responsible architecture.
