To provide high quality excellent education in the arena of technical and professional education and to impart knowledge in a structured fashion to the student community, late Shri.P.K.Das established the Nehru College of Education and Charitable Trust in the year 1968. Being a man of great vision, commitment, perseverance, dedication and devotion he pioneered revolutionary and innovative thoughts to revamp technical and professional education in the private sector. He was committed to the cause of the poor and social welfare and undertook various initiatives such as donating wheel-chairs, tailoring machines, and tricycles to the physically challenged, providing free education and medical treatment to the backward class, and donating homes for the homeless.

The Journey of Nehru Group of Institutions was started by my father Late P.K.Das who was an Aeronautical Engineer and Ex.Airforce Office, a great Philanthropist and above all a Scholar par excellence. Initially started in 1968 in a humble way combined with sheer dedication and relentless hard work the Nehru Group now stands tall with 21 Higher Education Institutions and two International Schools. Nehru College of Architecture was established in the year 2015 to create and give wings to Architects of the future. The faculty fraternity is a mix of eminent Academicians and Practicing Architects. Nehru College of Architecture envisions creating Architects who can design and develop building which lives up to the ethos and also for the concept for which it is built. We wish to create Architects who can think out of the box and create marvels which will inspire generations. I personally feel that we need Green Architects with concern for environment and who can live in the present envisioning concepts having universal adaptability and potential. In Nehru College of Architecture we do not create mere Architects but Socially committed Citizens with an International Outlook and design concept. Our motto being Molding True Citizens.

Architecture is one among the most emerging branches in Engineering in the recent days. People now-a-days are often look beyond the structure to the design of the total built in environment with particular reference to the town planning & urban designing, besides landscape architecture.
I feel proud that Nehru Group of Institutions is again a vital partner in the human resource development in this vital growing area through Nehru College of Architecture.
Having launched in the year 2015, the Nehru College of Architecture is unique in its standing with world class infrastructure and faculties of renowned nature enjoying the academic freedom. I am happy to note that there is an ideal learning environment for the new budding architects coupled with adequate co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. It is more satisfying to learn that the students are exposed to face the challenges posed by climatic change, natural and man-made disasters, resource depletion, pollution and congestion and overcrowding in Urban areas.
My sincere compliments to the entire team of dedicated staff ably steered by the Director in their contribution to make NEHRU COLLEGE OF ARCHITECTURE an Institution of eminence and I wish the college an unchallenging future.
