The Model-making workshop at NCA is an intrinsic part of the Design Studio. It fosters in students the urge to create three dimensional models of their architectural projects employing a variety of materials like mount boards, foam boards, thermocol, wood, and other malleable materials like soap and clay.
Students have access to thermocol cutters and an electric pottery wheel. Wood work is carried out in the Carpentry workshop which is fitted out with an extensive array of equipment and manned by experienced supervisors.
Workshops conducted by skilled practitioners in architectural model-making and terracotta modeling enable students to grasp the nuances of learning by making.
