Choosing Life Over Drugs : NCA Students Participate in Anti-Drug Campaign

Students of S5, D1, and D3 from Nehru College of Architecture, along with students from other departments, actively participated in "Orumikkaam Nammude Makkalkkayi – Season 3", a special anti-drug awareness campaign jointly organized by Janam TV and the Anti-Drug Mission, Toofan. The program was held at Sastra Hall, JCET, on 27 July 2026.
The event aimed to create awareness among young people about the growing threat of substance abuse and the importance of making informed and responsible choices. One of the major highlights of the program was an engaging and thought-provoking talk delivered by experts in the field. The session shed light on the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug abuse, emphasizing the need for vigilance and prevention.
An interactive question-and-answer session followed, providing students with an opportunity to clarify their doubts and gain deeper insights into issues related to drug addiction, peer pressure, and rehabilitation. The open discussions encouraged active participation and helped students better understand the long-term impact of substance abuse on individuals, families, and society.
The program proved to be both informative and inspiring, equipping students with valuable knowledge and reinforcing the importance of leading a healthy, drug-free life. Initiatives like these, help to empower students to become responsible citizens and advocates for a safer, healthier community.
