Ar. Venkatachalam, Assistant Professor, advocates for an architecture of “long life, loose fit, low energy.” He earned his Master’s in Environmental Architecture from McGAN’s Ooty School of Architecture (Anna University) in 2018 and his Bachelor’s from Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur, in 2016. His award-winning master’s thesis focused on portable, space-efficient dwellings. With experience in residential and eco-friendly projects, his passion for teaching centers on problem-solving, critical inquiry, and reflective practice. His areas of interest include minimalist architecture, tropical modernism, sustainable design, and model making.
