Towards an architecture of “long life, loose fit, low energy”
Venkatachalam earned his Masters in environmental architecture from Mcgan’s Ooty school of architecture, affiliated to Anna university, Chennai in 2018 and Bachelor's from Adhiyamaan college of engineering, Hosur, affiliated to Anna university, Chennai in 2016. His masters academic research focussed on Portable architecture for dwelling to solve problems for space efficient and awarded as University thesis topper.
His one year of practical experience includes residential and eco-friendly projects.
Over the years of academics and working, his passion for teaching evolved. According to him "Foundation for architecture lies in the process of defining problems, raising rightful questions with appropriate solution and make students participate by extending teaching knowledge through reflective practise in the heart of architecture study".
His area of interest includes Minimalist architecture, Tropical Modernism, Sustainable architecture and Model making.
