STUDY TOUR AT TRIVANDRUM

3rd Semester B.Arch. students of Nehru College of Architecture have been went to a 3 day Study Tour to Trivandrum. They had an interactive session with Ar. G. Shankar at Habitat Technology group office and his house. Students could have guided tours of Kerala Legislative Assembly, Laurie Baker Centre, and Centre for Development Studies. The team of 24 students and 2 faculties also visited Bhimapalli, Padmanabhaswami temple, Kuthiramalika, Napier museum, Sri Chitra art gallery, and Kovalam beach. It was an eye opening trip for the students with up close experience with traditional building technology with bamboo, mud, exposed brick, lime, filler slabs and much more. Also, they got to experience the rich culture of the capital of Kerala.
