Final year students (2017-2022 batch) has won the First prize at the Zonal level and National level.

The Council of Architecture has conducted the National awards for Excellence in Documentation of Architectural Heritage 2021 and the final year students (2017-2022 batch) participated and has won the First prize at the Zonal level and National level. The COA Heritage Award was instituted with an objective to encourage interest and talent of students for understanding, documentation of heritage buildings and to develop and promote sensitivity and awareness towards India's architectural heritage amongst students of architecture across the country. The competition was introduced by Prof. Ar. Thirumeni Madhavan (Principal) to the students and was guided by Ar. Venkatachalam (Asst Prof). As part of this, the whole class went to Chettinad to study about the culture and architecture of the region and documented TSK house (Chidambara vilas). The documentation process involved terrestrial survey, preparing plans, sections, elevations, views and details of doors, windows, ornamentations, ceilings, roofs etc. The whole team stayed and documented for 4 days.
